FAQ

To heal my trauma, will I need to tell my story … again?

While old wounds may arise, our work is NOT designed to make you re-live those moments.

Because significant memories can come up, our work IS designed to help you foster new relationships with the pieces of the past that you would like to heal.

What is trauma and relational therapy like?

Working through trauma is potentially the most meaningful, and the most difficult, of our life’s work.

In my work with clients, and in my own experience of trauma-focused, relational therapy, I have experienced a broad range of feelings, subtle and strong, along with compassionate connection and support, deeper understanding, and new perspectives.

Because I resonate with these wounds, and I’ve experienced this process, I have dedicated over a thousand hours toward Trauma-Specific Clinical training. Every experience is unique, and I offer my clients unique support in the cognitive, emotional, and somatic aspects of our work together.

What can expect during a session?

During our visits, I am actively attuning, offering ample room for curiosity, checking in with you, listening intently, and not judging. I’m offering compassion and consistently holding space for discovery and healing. Our work together is designed to cultivate a counseling relationship that helps bring you closer to what you are seeking for yourself.

Where is your practice?

I practice with a group at a small house, in central Austin, near MoPac & Enfield Rd.

When you arrive, please don’t worry about ringing the door bell. Walk on in and find a comfy spot in the living room area. I will walk out to find you at our scheduled time. Grab a chocolate while you wait, if you’d like.

All of you is welcome here.

If you think we might be a good match,

I offer a free 15-minute consultation, to be sure we feel we can move forward together.
